Kate Thomsen

Kathryn Thomsen is a social entrepreneur focused on conservation, climate change, and sustainability. Over the past 20 years she has operated businesses, completed a Masters degree in resource economics, and collaborated with organizations to develop carbon mitigation strategies. As a consultant and project manager, Kathryn has worked with diverse stakeholder groups including business owners, government officials, farmers, contractors, and engineers to evaluate and improve continuous optimization programs incentivized by local utilities to increase demand for energy conservation, clean technologies, and market transformation.  Passionate about finding solutions that endure beyond market fluctuations, Kathryn recently started a nonprofit organization called Hundredgivers, to support and accelerate community-based initiatives focused on climate change mitigation and sustainability solutions.
